Френды- извините, что без перевода и пояснений, я просто не успеваю, а картинки замечательные.
Эта семья из Антверпена хорошо известна тем, кто интересуется старинной графикой. Теодор и Конелиус Galle- сыновья Филиппа Galle, известного гравера и владельца мастерской, где делались гравюры заметных художников и графиков того времени. В 1596 году они поехали в Италию, но в 1612 году Теодору пришлось вернуться, чтобы возглавить семейное дело после смерти отца.
Их мастерская сделала и издала множество ценнейших гравюр,их предшественников и современников- Рубенса и других.
Они сделали бесценный вклад в историю искусства- только в Британском Музее больше 700 листов великолепной графики с подписями "Print made by Theodoor Galle" и его брата, и "Published by Theodoor Galle" и его ближайших родственников.
Это- редкие картинки, в свободном поиске их не было и нет.
Здесь только серия из 12 гравюр о молодежи и три об открытии Америки,есть еще любопытные, выложу их позже.
Мне кажется, что многим будет интересно посмотреть, какие напасти грозили молодым людям начала 17 века и за что их ожидали сатана, ад и кары небесные.
Там очень много символики и аллегорий, надо обращать внимание на каждую деталь- только тогда понятен смысл картинок.

Biography
Engraver and print publisher based in Antwerp. Son of Philips, and took over workshop on his death in 1612. He travelled with his brother, Cornelis I, to Italy in 1596. Marred the daughter of the Antwerp publisher Jan Moretus. He introduced two new activities in the family enterprise: reissuing engravings that had been published by early generations of printmakers in the last decades of the sixteenth century, and the collaboration between the Galle workshop and the Plantin Press(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plan
